Space Saboteurs
Final project for my Intro to Game Design college course, which required a tabletop game with very few restrictions on its contents. Nominated for "Best Execution" award at SGX Fall 2021.
This was the first game design project I was involved in where the requirements and restrictions were very light. My main role for this project was essentially developing the rule set while playtesting to ensure the rules were robust and exploit-free. I also designed the ten-page handout for the game and helped create some of the art used in the final game.
"Your ship is doomed and there’s only one escape pod. Your higher-ups decided that the best employee gets out, while the rest blow up. Reaching company milestones and improving your rating is the only way you’ll prove yourself loyal to the company and make it off the ship. To do
that, you’ll explore the ship to discover new areas, scavenge the scrap yards for junk and other
more important items, and employ alien interns (unpaid, of course) to do work for you! It’s every
employee for themselves, and your co-workers won’t back down easily. Time to earn yourself a
promotion."
